Studio Policies

Lesson Schedule: At Taylor Violin Studio, I strive to provide a consistent and convenient lesson schedule for all students. I am available to teach lessons Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 9 pm. Each student will have a designated lesson time that remains the same each week. I understand the importance of finding a time that works for both the student and myself, and I will do my best to accommodate scheduling requests.

Pricing Structure:

Lessons at Taylor Violin Studio are priced as follows:

  • 30 minutes: $35

  • 45 minutes: $45

  • 60 minutes: $60

Lesson fees are paid on a monthly basis. The monthly fee is calculated by multiplying the lesson price by the number of weeks in the month (4 or 5). It is important to note that the monthly fee represents the minimum price based on the number of lessons offered in a month, regardless of the number of lessons attended by the student.

Payment for lessons can be made electronically through platforms such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle. Cash and check payments are also accepted. Please be aware that electronic payments will include a 3% electronic transaction fee.

For electronic payments, the payment is due on the 1st of each month. Cash and check payments are due at the first lesson of each month. In the event of late payment, a $5 late fee will be added, and an additional $5 will be added for every subsequent week the payment remains outstanding.

Registration Process:

To begin your musical journey at Taylor Violin Studio, please email me to express your interest in lessons. We will then schedule a free meet and greet session, allowing us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have. During this meeting, we will determine the appropriate lesson length and schedule that suits your needs. Additionally, I will inform you of any materials or resources you may need to bring to the lessons.

Late Policy:

To ensure effective and efficient lessons, it is important for students to arrive on time. Please make every effort to be punctual for your scheduled lesson. If you anticipate being late, kindly contact me as soon as possible to inform me of the situation. However, please note that the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.

Please be aware that there will be no refunds or makeup lessons for time missed due to tardiness. If you are running more than 10 minutes late and I have not received any communication from you, I will assume that you are unable to attend the lesson, and it will be forfeited.

Thank you for understanding the importance of timeliness in maintaining a consistent and productive learning environment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the late policy, please don't hesitate to discuss them with me.

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide as much notice as possible. In some cases, if there is availability in my schedule, I may be able to reschedule the lesson. However, rescheduled lessons are not guaranteed and are dependent on my availability as the teacher. If you choose to cancel a lesson, it will be assumed that the lesson will not be rescheduled.

It is important for students to prioritize their lesson time. Refunds will not be given for canceled lessons, and missed lessons will not be refunded or credited.

Discontinuing Lessons:

In the event that a student decides to discontinue lessons at Taylor Violin Studio, the following policy applies:

  • Notification: Please provide advance notice of your decision to discontinue lessons. Once you have notified me, the teacher, of your intention to discontinue, you will be required to pay for an additional month of lessons.

  • Payment Obligation: This means that if you decide to discontinue lessons in a specific month, you are still required to pay for the subsequent month's lessons, regardless of whether you attend those lessons or not.

  • Payment Timing: The payment for the additional month will be due as scheduled, according to the regular payment schedule of the studio.

This policy ensures that there is sufficient time for proper closure of the lessons and allows for a smooth transition for both the student and the studio.

Please note that this policy applies to all students who choose to discontinue lessons, and refunds or credits will not be provided for any lessons not attended during the additional month
